Coyote tournaments ? Good or bad for the sport?
« on: September 04, 2013, 01:49:48 pm »
What'cha think about them?
I have mixed emotions about them.
They sure bring a varied amount of P.R. Some good most BAD.
I have never been in any ( choke under pressure) , but they look Kinda fun. I'm such a curmudgeon and just flat out HATE people that I just can't bring my self to do one. Same for fishing. Maybe when I get rich and have all the top equipment and gear I'd feel better about it. I always seem to be the " Jed Clampet" of any gathering . The oldest truck, ugliest gun, Cheapest gear. Hell I don't even have a 4 wheeler...BUT I Do have 45 years of experience in ANY thing Hunting... Last year was a BAD year for fur but most of the last 10 years we've taken around 100 dogs a season.
FUDGE, One of these years , One of these years!

They have one in south TX as a school fundraiser. I hope to make the next one. The only bad press is from people that have no clue about the devastation they can cause if their population is left unchecked. There is also the old saying there is no such thing as bad press.
No matter the species overpopulation is far more devastating than any plague.

The way I look at it its a good thing. The more yotes we put into the dirt the better it'll be for the Fawns, yotes are getting to be a big problem here in Ohio.
Why carry a .45acp? Because having to shoot twice is just silly.
