Predator and varmint
« on: May 06, 2013, 01:14:45 pm »
We got out on Sunday. Perfect day to call coyotes and shoot little dogs. A smidgen cool in the wee hours of the morning and some fog but the wind was very light. The coyotes decided to take the day off too. We had one come in to about 250 yards but would not stop and my shooting buddy didn't connect. We had one pass us by at a bit over 400 yards, no shot there. BUT!!

The Prairie dogs just loved to stand up and give us the finger, the shooting was very good... We deliberately only allotted 40 shells for prairie dogs so we only picked good shot. The Kill to shot was VERY high. Damn I hate having to hold back on shooting just because of the shortage, It sucks. [:x]

Never had the chance to hunt them little suckers but it sounds like a bunch of fun. Ammo now would be a major problem now, could be very costly....
Why carry a .45acp? Because having to shoot twice is just silly.
