Posting Pictures

This thread is here to help you get setup to be able to post pictures here on the forum. It's very simple, free, and once you do it once or twice it will become a no-brainer.
DIRECTIONS:

1. Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. It's free and only takes a couple minutes to fill in some basic account info (username, password, email address, etc.)

2. Once you have your account created, you have two options:
A) You can simply upload all your photo's into the main album (simplest solution)
B) You can create sub albums to better organize your photos by interest

Either way is fine, the latter just adds a step that I won't cover here.

3. You should be looking at the "Upload Images & Videos" screen. Click the browse button and locate the image you want to upload on your computer. With the image selected, simply click the Upload button to upload it to your album.

4. With your photo now uploaded you can start posting it here on the forum. To do this, scroll down on the current page and you will see a thumbnail of the photo you just uploaded with three lines of code underneath it or beside it. One of these lines of code will be what you need to display your photo on a forum, but which one you need will depend on the forum software.
For this forum you will need the "Direct Link Code" line of coding. Simply click on that line of code and it automatically copies the link you need.

5. Now back at the forum (helps to have two browser windows open when doing this), you can create a new post or reply, and when you get to where you want to place your photo simply right click and select Paste, or use the keyboard shortcut of CTRL+V. The result should be code similar to the following being inserted in your post:

EXTRA POINTERS:

1. Always leave a blank line before and after your image code. This makes your post easier to read and prevents your photo from inadvertantly being inline with the text.

2. Make sure your code always looks like that shown above. There should be only one IMG tag starting and ending the code, and the address (URL) of your picture should be between them. Any deviation from this and the photo will not display.
